arghh i can't wait for a juicy lemon
This was a strange chapter for me. It had nothing to with the writing, as usual, it was very well written but I identified with characters so much. Specifically, the part about the photo. Similar situation and all. Only my circle hasn't come fully around like the characters. Also, the bit about the new job and not feeling like you've failed when things go awry. Spooky. When I came home tonight I didn't think I would be reading something that mirrored my thoughts. As always, I look forward to reading more.
FFFW: You know, after I read your comment, I had to go back and reread the chapter for myself, with the idea of starting a new job in mind. I imagine if you are someone who has skills and always done well, being placed back at entry level has to be daunting. I can see how this chapter might parellel someone's feelings in that situation, even the point of feeling used and abused. I hope Snape's little pep talk (of sorts) was encouraging. It's strange how fiction can reflect life sometimes. Thanks for giving me another view of this chappie. ***
ch 24 - sigh.... I just love the image of Hermione sneaking his photo and tearing off Lily's half. yay!! looking forward to seeing her graduate and then start her apprenticeship. thanks for the new chapter!

Ms. Figg this is turning into an A++, 100% heart stiring romance piece. I LOVE IT!!! It's different than anything you have done before. I guess that break really stirred your talent.
And here I thought Chpt 25 was romantic. This is just turning me to mush. LOVING IT!!!!

I'm enjoying the slow rewarming of their affections here -- is Severus consciously aware of both time lines like Hermione is?
amsev: Severus is vaguely aware of the alternate timeline as it pertained to him. He doesn't have the depth that Hermione does, because he only received a Pensieve of how he suffered under Voldemort and some of the despots crimes. Hermione actually lived through it, so she has a more complete view of it up to the point she went back in time.
I love this story, and hope you will update sometime soon. Snape lives, dammit!! JK just got confunded while she was writing.
ch 25-26 - this is really good, this bonding time. I wonder if somehow Severus and Hermione can go together to this Christmas gig, as master and soon-to-be apprentice. I think she'll stun the other potions makers by virtue of her killing a basilisk and then harvesting its ingredients with Severus. thanks for updating!!
It,s took me two weeks to read this chapter(the kids out for the summer)but it was worth it!great chapter!I love how you made Hermione&Severus,s talk,I can't wait till thay can talk some more.
Well I had a lot of chapters to catch up on. I love Luna in this story. She has such an interesting character about her that I am surprised that there is not more fan fictions about her. I love the bonding that is happening between Hermione and Severus it is slow but building which is perfect in this situation. I can't wait for more.

Hermione is a brave soul, with a guy like cedric around, I wouldn't have let go of Sev's arm for love or money. Now that Choosing Room, that sounds interesting, and I wish all bookstores had them. That meeting of the Masters sounds interesting too, I can't wait to read more. (These mini-cliffies are gonna be the death of me.) Thanks again, and i beg you, please kkep writing. And I hope that Lemonade stand comes into view soon.
ch 27-28 - I think you pegged James Potter senior very well, still liking the attention and not caring that it should have been Harry's night. Harry might be beyond the time for 'sowing his oats'. Cedric is creepier than ever, and I wonder if Hermione will have the courage to buy the books that are picked for her. thanks for the new chapters!
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Hermione's book? I could use it right about now.
ooooh, spooky, slimy Cedric! You'll have to write a short story where he finds his romantic opposite number (not sure which team he'd bat for...) And Antoine (Antonio?) Vargas rears his skanky head again. What a sleazeball he was in In An Alternate Universe. Can't wait to see what instructions Hermione finds in her new book!
Just to see what you were up to, I dropped back to visit and imagine my delighted shock to see that you back to writing SS/HG! I am so glad to see you again, and to read you again! I am really enjoying this story, I love the concept of the altered timeline, and a slightly softer Severus. And you have Hermione perfect; so ernest, young and basically innocent, yet at times very aware that she has Snape's personal attention. I will be back regularly now to see what happens......
lol .... (sniff, sniff) yeah, I can just imagine Snape's reaction to that book. I get a kick out of seeing him uncomfortable. Few things seem to rattle the character. I'm anxious to read what Hermione & the Book cook up in the way of a "get your man" plan. I may need to take notes. I can just hear it now ... "Hey Steph, what's your secret?" My response: "Oh, it's just something I picked up on the Burning Pen." lol.
I love how your writing Luna,I wish there where stories of her.I think she would be a big asset to Hermione.Loved the fight between Neniel and Harry.
This chapter made me cry! You did such a great job with the emotions of parents letting go and a child growing up. I loved it. I can't wait for more. I wonder if you will touch on the Potter's reaction to young, beautiful, intelligent Hermione being with Severus? Bitter grapes, I think. Can't wait for more.
Aww poor Mr Granger his little girl is all grown up. I wonder what it would be like if snape had a daughter and guys started hitting on her, i think if she had brothers, and they and snape tried to shield her from the boys attentions would be hilarious. Something tells me there would be alot of young men in hogwarts serving dettentions and some with broken noses. I dont know, i think it would be fun to see the tables turned on Snape. And of couse Hermione telling him to lighten up. LOL It would be a cool fic. *hint,hint* :P

Lampedusa, it would probably go something like this:
"Jaden, your eyes, they're so dark and beautiful, and your skin, its like fine
porcelain, and your lips . . . they're so, so compelling . . . I just have to kiss them," James Potter breathed, backing Jaden against the wall by approaching her.
The raven-haired Slytherin eyed James, reflecting his desire and she pursed her lips in anticipation of her first grown-up kiss. James' heart thudded in his chest as the witch who gave him so much hell
for so long, finally gave in. He leaned toward her mouth, his green eyes closing as he moved toward those soft, willing lips . . .
BRZZZZZZZATTT!
A shocked James Potter was blasted back from the witch by some unknown power that fairly crackled around her, issuing from her body. Jaden looked at herself, at a complete loss as what looked like little lightning bolts whirled around her.
James got off the floor and wiped his mouth. His already messy black hair was
even in worse than normal shape, standing all over his head from the shock he received.
"What the hell is that?" he asked Jaden, who looked just as bewildered as he did.
"That, my dear Mr. Potter, is a little something called a "Touch-Her-Not" charm. I cast
it some time ago. It only goes into effect if she is approached by someone who has . . . carnal intent," a familiar voice purred from the deeper shadows of the corridor.
"Daddy! How could you?" Jaden Snape hissed at her father.
"Quite easily, I'm afraid, Jaden," Severus Snape responded coolly. "Now, return to Slytherin house while I deal with Mr. Potter."
"But . . . but daddy, he wasn't . . . he wasn't doing anything," she said.
"Of that I am certain, thanks to the charm. Now go, Jaden, before you lose house points and your housemates take you to task."
Jaden dropped her head and walked past her father sullenly. How could he do this
to her?
Wait until she told mum.
Snape watched until she turned the corner, then looked back at James Potter the second, his black eyes narrowed.
"You should know better than to dally with the Headmaster's daughter, Mr. Potter," he purred unpleasantly, "but then again, you are your father's son. Brains aren't in great supply, are they?"

Love the new chapter, how Hermione’s father deals with her emancipation and seeing as he tries to come to terms with it. I just love it. And Cedric no matter what story you put him in, he always gives me the creeps. Concerning the short scene you wrote as an answer to Lampedusa, I think the potter men seem to be a perpetual thorn in his backside. James Potter being electrocuted for kissing Severus’s daughter is so funny. He’s really got his work cut out for him. I know this is a one-shot, but I wouldn’t mind if this turns into something humm, I don’t know something to make us laugh, to make us cry, to makes want lemonade. Hehehe If anyone asks me I support Lampedusa’s petition. Hehehe

I loved the prophecy! it was sooo nicely done, jk's style and all... and severus and hermione are meant for each other, it's nice to know that the story will have a happy ending :) btw, when Hermione was writing in the book, it reminded me of mr. weasley's words:"never trust anything if you can't see where its brain is"... but I guess this time it's different! can't wait to read what the book will say!
Cleverly written prophecy. I think Dumbledore should figure it out eventually though... and what about Harry? Can we let him remain a total ass? Will Hermione show him the memories/dreams? Tell him what she did (sans sex with Snape)? Some reconciliation is needed, not only between Harry and his parents, but between Severus and Lily.

You know I think the author of the book must have been a Slytherin. Come to think of it, sometimes Ms_Figg shows Slytherin qualitys too. (Making us wait an all)
