Ch 3 - very nice and slow - that Severus knows how to draw out the tension. "Relaxo" spell - sorry to be so obtuse, but what does it do? I remember it being used in the first story and that he liked it, but not what it does. Did Severus "suggest" to the Headmaster that Hermione come over to Hogwarts? Wow. That was a shag. I'm a bit shocked actually - it was like consensual rape. I loved chapter 5 - found it exciting to think of such a passionate man inside one's head. And then chapter 6 happened. And then chapter 7 showed that the injuries were real and not imagined due to drama. This is a very good story and I shall certainly keep reading. I do think though, that maybe this story should be classified as S&M. I know HG/SS aren't using any equipment (yet?) but chapter 6 seemed very violent to me. I didn't think that about Part 1 so much - a bit of rough and pain is still normal sex IMO (and I like it). But leaving bruises all over her back and trouble walking the next day - that's sadism in my book. I would find it interesting to read a bit of exploration into HG realising and coming to terms with the fact that she's a masochist ('cause I really think that's what she is, here). Or alternatively, confronting SS and saying it was OK the one time because she was so sex-starved but he's got to be more gentle next time or she will deny him.

This should be classified as S&M, and I'd like to see this realization explicitely explored more in the characters. Sad chapter. While I only see Snape as a sappy character sometimes in fics and enjoy the fluffiness, I also like the portrayal of him this way too. Ch 9 - Hello! I am one of those pesky "readers foaming at the mouth for a happy ending." If there is character death, let it be Lucius and Voldemort. I think a happy ending would be quite compatible for the story theme of "What Was I Thinking" - e.g., for Severus to realize he was wrong in thinking "Your beauty isn't meant for me" or wrong in thinking "I want you to marry for love, .... Your name listed in history books. This will never happen with me. Ever." I mean, in the first part, he was wrong in thinking that Hermione would never want him. So a happy ending could fit in, and he could still be snarky (and sexy). Please??????? Ummm..... I'll send Death Eaters to your door? (makes hopeful but evil glare at author)

I love this story so much and your characterisation of snape. Please don't kill him yet. I know you feel its is finished and by continuing you run the rsikof writing a repetitive lemon, but I think Severus needs to survive by his own strength. It would be great if he could hold dominion over hermione and in that kinda S&M arrangment create a way that will allow him to be happy withouty the teddy bears and roses. Two great chapters there. I'm really glad that you decided to keep going with this story - it is developing well. I have never come across the idea of developing a spell using scientific methods before - v interesting. So what does H do to adjust the spell, I wonder. Different wand flicks? Extra words? A key piece of parchment with the precise effect of the spell written on it so that the exact spell, when spoken, will be evoked? It's got me thinking. But the poor rats! I bet Hagrid is crying his eyes out in his hut.

Noooo! My poor Sevvie-poo! (yes, yes, I know he'd avada me in a heart-beat for saying that, if he weren't a fictional character) Great job with the torture scene. It was very sterile. Sterile/clinical is, surprisingly enough, usually best at conveying the sense of horror needed in a torture scene. Think about every horror movie you've ever seen. The ones that scare the spit out of me are the ones where there's no musical build-up, where there's no 'let's get into the character's head and make the audience FEEL how scared they are.' It's almost always the detached, clinical telling that scares people the most. It kind of lends an aura of hoplessness and inevitability to the whole situation that just magnifies the terror. I DO hope you won't kill of Severus. But if you do, you could look into the world of ghost/mortal relations. think of all the possibilites there! JW, in part one, (with a little creative license) it is explained that Severus can apparate from or to his rooms or office to answer or return from the summons of the Dark Lord. Fabulous! Fabulous! I loved it all. "Severus pulled her back roughly to the other side of the bed, like a carriage return" - cool metaphor. House-Elves with teeth and their agressive history. Albus listening in (eek!). Great new sex position - pushed up on the headboard, high in the air, wheelbarrow-style, for the more gymnastic of us to try out (nb: must have strong or magical bedframe). The unexpected Final Battlescene and how they lived happily ever after - added almost as an afterthought, but it works. Can't wait to read your next story. When's the novel coming out?

HOLY BUGGERY (heh) but that was HOT! I think I have a new favorite to go alongside my old fave of humor/romance/angst: angst/hot,mildly masochistic sex/more angst/love. I like the fact that you didn't turn Hermione into some kind of total submissive to Severus' Dominant. Don't like those stories much. She's too damn ornery to ever be a true "bottom." Hot, hot, hot! Dang, that was so good I read parts 1 and 2 through a second time!!! And now I think I have the creative fire in my belly (snicker) to go finish a PWP I started ages ago that has been languishing for a while. (it's a SS/NT, but, hey, that pairing has its moments, too!) Whooooeeee! Hope to read more of your works.

Ms. Figg, you are my new supreme Queen-goddess of S&H lemony goodness. But your writing is far more than just PWP--you've got interesting plot and story ideas (such as Hermione's original spells) that move the story nicely along, as straight Fu**ing is pretty dull by itself. I can't speak for any other S&H fangirl/fanatic, but I find that well-crafted writing in addition to copious citrus is definitely my cuppa tea. . . . . ^_^

Oh that was SO good! Thank you for writing it! Time Jumper what a cool concept! Kinda like that thing in the movie Galaxy quest just enough time to fix a mistake but I think that gave you fifteen but hey who else besides hermione would be stubborn enough to try and make one right? So she helped save the day but let harry take full credit. She isn't the type to want it if you think about it. So did anyone know about the relationship I wonder? From what was said Severus and Hermione seemed to be pertending but lucius figured it out so who knows? I think that is cool the houselves helped. Most people seem to underestimate what other abilities or powers they may have other then being really good household help. And having Dobby being the one to take care of Lucius was ironic and brillant I loved it! Anyway that was a great story and thank you for the entertainment Galacia

The whole time I was reading this, and the story that precedes it, I was listening to Sinead O'Conner - Nothing Compares To You. And it's such an awesome song for the story. Unless you actually wrote it FOR the song.. -giggles- I don't read the a/n's so.. You could have clearly said it, and I wouldn't have seen. But either way. Nothing Compares to You. What was I thinking (Parts 1 and 2) - I don't believe I started reading this (part 1) yesterday and finally finished Part 2 today. You, my dear, are to blame for the work that is sitting untouched on my desk, as well as few other items that were, uhm, 'touched' for lack of a better word. Wonderful story! Excellent lemons (yes, yes, I like a bit of a twist with my lemons - I've written a few of that type, too). Great set up. I love your Severus, commanding, domineering, but still edged with care. There are way too many line that I really liked for me to site, suffice to say, the dialogue and their banter were most entertaining. Sigh, back to reality.
