Lizzy: Although this is a bit of a spoiler, I think it's pretty obvious the blood of a virgin is involved . . . and most have figured that out, BUT the story is in the telling. Is it "ordinary" virgin's blood or "extraordinary" virgin's blood? lolol. And you'll either have to look ole' Cerrunnos up, or just wait for the rest of the story. ;) Heck, I don't even know what's going on yet. <g>

I usually don't leave remarks (though I LOVE these stories) I usually lurk. I made an exception this time. Ok you all here's what I found out about Cernunnos. He is a Celtic horned god of fertility. Oh My, This is going to get GOOD!!!!!!!!

Ms_figg i think Severus is a closet Wiccan. (Yay, we're being represented) And it all points that they're about to celebrate "the Great Rite" which involves ritual sexual intercourse. However, Severus is changing it a bit since it is consensually performed by a committed couple in private. Ok, so Severus and Hermione aren't exactly a committed couple (yet)and maybe they're not in a private location, but we all know snape like's to bend the rules. But i dont think our hermione knows what she's getting into, i mean Cernunnos is the god of male virility, god of the forest, but also god of the Underworld. The Horned God is born at the winter solstice, and marries the goddess at Beltane. So will her life-deph be payed with a wedding? I can't say i have a favorite story, but, this one is fastly becoming one of my favorites. In another matter, may all the blessings of the god and the goddess fall upon you all. Today august 1 (here's alredy 0:43)is the great harvest festival so i urge you all to reflect on the successes of the year and reward yourself for jobs well done. Guess that's what "our" cernunnos is going to do, beltane isnt until may but i guess severus is going on a early celebration. LOL. I mean the god is reputed to be quite the ladies' man amongst the deities. Well tonight i'm on baker dutty, i can alredy tell my grandmother is gona bake a truckload of bread to commemorate the sacrifice and death of the Corn God. Oh well, at least at luch there will be pasta. ^_^ Happy Lughnasadh everyone.

reviewer: My synopsises are always rather ambiguous, since I'm guessing what's going to be in the story generally. One of the pitfalls to not plotting a story out. I'm going to have to alter it a bit. But, Hermione will have to consent for the collection of the blood to be as successful and powerful as Snape hopes. So, it won't be rape exactly, yet they are both under the influence of the potion they drank, which apparently lowers the inhibitions. That makes it a bit nonconsenual, since it is something Hermione would not normally agree to in her right state of mind.
This is a comment on the song. I love 'Celtic Woman' and used to like "The Voice" alot.

I love this story so much :) Would you consider setting up a mailing list of sorts? I know they have one at FF, though AFF I'm not so sure, (I'm leaning towards 'no'), but "The Burning Pen" seems to miss it as well. Not that I wouldn't mind checking up every now and then (:P), but I've access to my e-mail a lot more often than I do actual internet, because I usually only get a few minutes in every now and then. I love the story Ms. Figg but I would love it if you could clarify a few points for me. Hhen they had sex (SS and HG)I assume SS somehow got a egg from HG and erilized it himself? And then he froze it or something until he married? And his wife, did he have sex with her or (wait maybe that makes no sense if the egg was already fertilized), OK maybe while she was out of it, perhaps he implated the egg in her through magic? I am just curious-a great story. Iwould love to see a sequel with SS and HG getting together. LOL

I have been reading HP fanfictions for over a year. Some are really good when not awsome however I have never found the knack to write a review. So it is my first just to let you know how much I like your style and your imagination. I love the couple Severus - Hermione, but with this story you really have managed a "tour de force" it is a interesting idea and I cannot wait to find out the end. I love the relationships between all the children.

Aww that was a great chapter I hope Hermione and Ron sends Eileen a pensive of how things went down after she left maybe that would help her. I wish I could donate to your ac fund I know how it is to be in a mobile home with no ac. Throw in a rotten chicken egg and you'll have to go find somewhere to stay for two days. I will pass the word along however because times are hard.
This story is brilliant! I can't wait to read more of it. If I had been Ron, I would have been insulted enough on Eileen's behalf to take my whole family home right away, without their Weasley things. And let Lily come for good measure. What she did just wasn't Quidditch! You don't insult a child's parent right in front of that child! I'm sure every family has to deal with this to some extent; every family has oddballs, people they talk about when they aren't there, but they don't do it when the person's immediate family are present. I hope Ron brings the hammer on down when he talks to his mother! Since Eileen is (or at least was) spending time getting to know the Weasleys, will there be a reversal, i.e., will Rose and Hugo come over to visit to get to know their sister's family? Eileen is part Granger after all or at least a good part of her mother. One she gets something in her head she's made up her mind about that's the way it is and it could take a whole herd of wild hippogriffs to change it. She grew up in Snape's world so when she finally got in Hermione's she for got not everyone is nice. But she shouldn't cut ties because of what people say about her and Snape he never did nor Hermione that's very unlike her to come from two surviors of the Voldemort times. Maybe a reconcilation in the next chapter.
I would have turned Molly into the Dodo but would have taken away it's voice. She wouldn't have been able to even squak when I finished with her! You are GREAT!!!
I would just like to say I think your writing is wonderful. I think you should get an award for making people a little happier each day. None of us have much control in this world, except those who write and create their own world. Yours is very pretty, detailed and dreadfully interesting.

Tzentel: Actually, it's not outside my comfort zone. I wanted to do something a little different and see if I could hold a reader's attention without the lemons between the couple. They're so much more after all, even not together intimately. Deathly Hallows changed everything, as did the epilogue. I have the chance to write a story kind of within JK's intended ending. Non-canon because Snape survived, but still close. And to be honest, it's enjoyable to write Ron this way. I really like his character, you know, it's just that it gets in the way of HG/SS so I have to compensate by making him an oaf or killing him off or something. So, this is great. Of course, in keeping with the sanctity of HG/SS there are no intimate scenes between Hermione, Severus and other characters. I have to draw the line somewhere. lol. I'm glad you are enjoying the story.

Werewolfhime: You aren't by yourself. My foster/adoptive parents never understood me either. This is my way of dealing with it in a way. I don't think Eileen is especially understood either. It's just that her parents have been through enough to attempt being understanding on both sides. Maybe ***
This is by far one of the best stories you have written. I love that you have kept Severus so perfectly in character. I really can see him being a great father, and also not being able to become a father without a little underhanded dealing. And as much as I enjoy Severus and Hermione together, I really, really want you to make things work with Odessa. They are perfect together. They both have unsavory pasts, and she can sooth him without being a Mary Sue. They don't judge each other. And as much as I enjoy a good lemon (and you write really great ones), I love having a real story with major plot developments. And this is real, every day life; not dodging the dragons, shooting hexes, dismantling wards by tripping over them, danger at every turn life. Not that that is bad, but it wears thin after awhile. I'm also glad to see a nice Ron for a change. Since I'm rooting on Severus to end up with Odessa, I can sit back and enjoy a grown up, more mature Ron and his interactions with Hermione and all the children (including Eileen). Eileen is fantastic, you have done a great job making her a combination of both her parents, letting Severus' raising her shine through. And Alsop is a scream! That he is so devoted to Eileen should be rewarded in the end..... un-like Severus' devotion to Lily Evans. And the way young Lily Potter won Severus over so easily. I would love to see Harry learn a thing or two from Severus and teach his own daughter to dance. I would have loved that as a little girl, to have had my father teach me how to dance. I like the way you wrote the relationship between Eileen and Hermione. That Hermione has stepped up into the role of "mother" is wonderful. Odessa can be Eileen's friend if it comes to that, but Hermione needs to be a real mother, and now that the shock is wearing off, I'm glad to see that you have taken it in the direction. One last note before I stop my monster rambling. I can't wait to see what happens with the Board of Governors. I want to see Lucius Malfoy run away like a terrified puppy. So, a standing ovation for this wonderful story. It is wonderful to see you pushing the limits of the story beyond the one shot. Please keep up the fantastic work.

Hi Ms. Figg, You are an amazing writer and i admire your talent. I really don't like Snape or Hermione wih others but your writing still shines. I have been browsing your stories and your SS/HG are pretty much the best ones I have read. They should be available as novels! LOL I was just wondering that this story while it ha lots f revies, i see most of your stories have pages and pages. do you think it's because this is not really SS/HG and people are giving it a skip and reading your other stories that are SS/HG? Or do you think maybe cause the Potter universe fanfiction has died down somewhat over the last two years? Hope you ae feeling great!

Hi T. Meyer. The reviews here could be because most people who come to the Pen like HG/SS. But a lot of people read and don't review at all. But I've posted in other places and people review. I appreciate it, but I'm into the story myself and want to bring it to a satisfying conclusion, so that helps weather any lack of reviews. If I'm enjoying writing the story, I'm going to keep writing it. And I'm enjoying the difference in this one, if you know what I mean. I love HG/SS but I need to change up now and then or I think I'll go stale. lolol.
