Hi all. Wasn't skivving off on Daddy Dearest. I just had a bit of writer's block this morning...I attribute it to not feeling well today...so I just wrote whatever came to mind to try and stretch it out, like a cramp. I thought the monologue was interesting so posted it.
wow hon, its a monologue but it has sooo much potential =)glad you shared it with us =)
writer's block? *whine* thats not a good thing... not a good thing at all!!! hehe. its the selfish in my speaking. but this monologue... wow... thats sooo cool... very insightful and all that. even when you are in your writer's block, what u write is cool... so whats to say about the stuff u write when u are in the writing mood! lol. hope to see u back in action soon... cant wait to read the rest of the chapters in 'daddy dearest'.
Wow this sounds like it has a lot of possiblies. It will be interesting to read when and if you finish it.
interesting....I like the way this started.
I like this story so far, I wouldn't mind if you decided to continue this, since I know you're sitting there fishing for reviews to continue. If you got enough you'd do it. Pfft. Sometimes, tho, you just have to write what you need to, and not rely only on others' expectations. The mob is NOT Rome. That last sentence was meant to be nonsensical.
anaretaacronycal: actually, I'm not fishing for reviews to continue. I'm not ready to do an original story yet, no matter how many reviews this little monologue gets. Though they might move me to do something more with this in the future, right now I am firmly entrenched in HG/SS. When you're not ready, you're not ready. This was something that came to me...but I trust my readers, and they can help me move forward, when...when the time comes. :)
Oh, you might be ready sooner than you think! *grins*
anaretaacronycal: I really think I'm not, girl. I started Sahara's story months ago and haven't been moved to do anything with it for ages, even with the positive reviews. I can only believe that I'm just not ready for it, though your belief I am is encouraging.
I really like this. Even though you don't plan to continue it in the near future I know when that day comes, I will enjoy it like I do all of your stories.
This was incredible. It has a very existentialist feeling to it. Kind of reminded me of Constantine. And you say this was a product of writer's block? Ms Figg, if I had writer's block like that, I'd be a rich woman :)
Well, as a writer myself, it hurts to see such talent go into fanfiction. Though I love it, I still see your ability to fabricate plots so tantalizing in other fields! roawr? haha. It doesn't matter. I'm really just glad you're writing, because it's a beautiful hobby to keep up on. =)
I like it, and I hope you'll continue it. I can't help drawing a parallel between Desmond and Severus but I'm sure as his character develops he'll be his own person. I mean, you did make him pale, dark haired and eyed! :-) Interesting idea, I'm looking forward to more and finding out more about these gray witches and wizards. LK
Interesting, I would like to see how it progresses, because your mind is extraordinary. It is sure to be brilliant.
OMG, Figg...this could be really wonderful. It's been on your site forever, but I just happened to pull it up for the first time today. I hope you get back to adding some stuff to this. It sounds really exciting!
This can't be a one-shot!! I want to know if she ever goes home and how this universe works. (whines.... more....)
I am filled with anticipation. Your starts are interesting. Would like to see you go with this one too. I keep checking Sahara for updates too. You are a more prolific writer than JKR and feed my hunger for Potter and other ships. Bless you Ms_Figg
The website is awesome and very informative
I like comments here very much
Brilliant! Keep going!
