I review over at AFF, but figured I'd shoot you a line here. I LOVE what you're doing with the story and can't wait until the next update. It's nice to see Snape's icy heart melting...just a little. :)
Hi Ms Figg sorry I haven't reviewed in ages but have been V.V.V busy! Love the story! The Gods crack me up. Just one thing I'd like 2 point out if u don't mind? It's just that in chp 28 seuerus used pound notes and in the U.K. they went out of circulation in 1983. Pound coins being used since then. Although as far as I know, Scotland does still use pound notes as well as coins. As its 3 banks are allowed by law 2 produce their own sterling banknotes which are legal tender.

Hey NotAFan: You're obviously NotAHighSchoolGraduate either or NotAVeryProficentSpeller, lol. Idiot. If you'd actually read any of Ruth's long, well written, well plotted, action filled stories you'd know that she doesn't only write slightly expanded PWP's. Though she'd damn good at those, too, lol! You're also going to find that she has loads of support from us, her fans, and barely a speck of negative reviews. When she does get them, they're pretty much like yours: specifically targeted to try and demean and belittle with no real constructive criticism AT ALL. That tells us all that you're simply a jealous writer- or jealous writer-wannabe. Really, what other reason would someone have to come onto a board filled with the work of 1 author, read it all, (which they purport to hate, btw) and then try to tell us how bad said author's work is? Man. That's really sad for you. Not a problem for us, though, as we will continue to read and enjoy what Ruth writes. :-D And shake our heads at what you have to say. Had to, Ruth. Sorry! I know you are the most diplomatic and classy writer around when it comes to criticisms....but I had to have my say purely out of loyalty. I tried a series of books highly recommended by a friend once, and I couldn't stand it! Didn't get past the 1'st one. But I didn't condemn her in any way- to each their own. Too bad NAF can't adopt that attitude. LK

lemons! I know I know. Listen, this morning I rewrote the beginning of this at least 3 times, deleting it in exasperation because something just didn't feel right. I think it was Hera prodding me a bit to prod Severus a bit. lol. So sorry...but they are still in bed together. You know if you go to sleep too early, you usually wake up in the middle of the night...
In fairness to notafan, it's not that there's "not a speck" of negative reviews out there; it's that most of us in the FF-world don't like to send con-crit if it's not wanted. And it's definitely not wanted here. Which is fine. But it doesn't mean the work is above reproach. Norafan: your review was a bit nasty. For those of us who welcome constructive criticism, it really does need to be, well, constructive.
newreviewer: Thank you for sharing. I don't have a problem when people point out errors in continuity, misspellings, or britpick, they do it all the time and I appreciate it and usually fix whatever it is. But don't pick on other readers, that's all I ask. That's what pissed me off about NotaFan. I've never deleted anything positive or negative on this site and never will. But I do have a "don't like, don't read" attitude. It's what I do after all when I read stories. I think the follow-up comment by "A Fan" pretty much said it all..."No, they are not pulitzer worthy, but that is not her intent. Her intent is to entertain..." That's all it is and all it will ever be.
Your stories should have a 12 step program to get unhooked on them. Everyday I check to see if you have updated and I read all your stories over and over again. You are one of the best authors in the HP fanfiction world.

I was a day or two behind..but OMG!!! Got lemons, sweetness, humor, AND a cliff-hanger. You just can't beat that. I was so delighted that the "pregnant" witch in the street was Hera, I almost clapped to myself. I can't wait for the next chapter!

I can't believe it. I can't believe Snape paniced.
Everyone has a breaking point. Severus has seen a lot of death, but he was never invested in those he saw die. There was no sense of loss, no connection...it was simply "unfortunate." If Hermione was to die, it would be the first loss that ever affected him. Hermione is most likely the only one in the world he feels loves him. Albus loves him as well, but that is a fatherly love. Hermione is more to him, and the possibility of her leaving him after going through all she has to have his child was enough to make him lose it. For the first time in his life, he felt his inability to control a situation. He couldn't save her. He was calm at first (relatively) when he cast the clotting spell, but when that didn't work...shit. At least that's how I saw it. The gloves came off.
Chapter 34 - Bad, bad author!!! That was a nasty little cliffhanger you left us with. I can't wait to see how everything turns out. Severus seemed quite upset, didn't he? Maybe this is the push he needed to realize his love for Hermione. If she survives of course.
Yup that's what I thought you were going to do. Well now what is going to happen! Evil cliffie I hope you update soon.
ch 33-34 - yay for Eli! And boo for those hissy Fates.... I'd like to sic Severus and Eli on them! Zeus needs to realize that if he wants to be king of the gods, he better keep a tight rein on the Fates. Thanks for updating, Ruth!

ch 35 - phew, that's a relief! I was hoping Aphrodite and Eros would zap Zeus and Hera with arrows or something to make them fall in love with each other again, but maybe they don't need the help. I wonder if Severus and Hermione would ever name a child after Hera (goddess of marriage) or another god/goddess. Hmm, Cassia Hera Snape? Whatever, just a thought, since Hera and the others did help. Thanks for updating!
JW: Hey girl. It's doubtful that Hera will receive any props, since neither Severus or Hermione knew of her or any of the other gods'involvement. Nice thought though. :)

35-36: Wow Hera wasn't a selfish witch and damn did it pay off for everyone except the fates lol. As for Severus nice to see he's finally grown up and realized he loved her. should be interesting to see how this continues.

Hi Ms. Figg. I haven't reviewed her for a long time but I just wanted to tell you that I continue to follow all your stories here and at AFF. As always, excellent story! On another note to some of the other fans, I just wanted to throw out my two cents on the Snape/Hermione videos. The problem with manipulating WB's Harry Potter movie clips to make it look like Snape and Hermione have a sexual relationship is that it utilizes real people (actors) that are about 35 years old apart. I think it makes AR look like a pervy old pedophile, especially since the clips are of EW at about the age of 14. The thing I like about Ms. Figg's characterization is that Hermione is almost always 18+ and the physical description is actually quite a bit different from the movie Hermione (EW). Also, while AR is playing a character that is supposed to be 20 years older than Harry Potter and his friends, the actor himself is about 61 years old. So, the videos showing a 14 year old EW lusting after a 60 year old AR (and vice versa) pushes squick way over the line. In every fanfic fandom, there are always going to be a small group of people who cross that line between fanfic of fictional characters with the RL actors that play those roles (like Mulder/Scully vs. Duchovny/Anderson). While fic stories are okay with fictional characters, it's not so okay with real life actors. Just a thought.
Oh, just what I had hoped! He finally realizes he loevs her....now onto her awakening. Hope you won't be cruel and soap-opera-like and give her amnesia! Lol! You know they would on any of the soaps! Can't wait for more- LK
DeChagny: Thanks for the video link. It was very well put together, really nicely done. I would like an older Hermione too though. lol. I've written some "student" Hermione stories but in my mind Snape is in his thirties and they have that 200 year life span that helps that fantasy along for me. I always "youthen" my Alan Rickman manips as well or try to "age" Hermione a bit. I've done my own HG/SS video clip of about a minute long, but have years pass in it so it's clear Hermione is no longer a student and Severus is no longer her teacher when they get together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCy50vx1I3I I liked the skill that went into making the clip but would have enjoyed it more with an older Hermione. *** Still, its different strokes for different folks...that's what keeps life interesting :)
