I really like the way this is going. I wonder how Hermione is going to get herself out of this one? But she is the brightest witch of the age she'll figure something out and knowing Hermione she find something that could melt the new ice wall Severus has up! :)

Wow... I am a little torn, but still on HG's side... I can understand snape's reaction, but what the bastard did to Hermoine was worse then anything he did to lily at school, a simple apology does not make things better, even with a heart opening... not after weeks of anguish. It also takes time... but I still feel bad for him... since HG should know who she is dealing with, not a common male. Can't wait for next chappy

Snape - who admittedly USES EVERYBODY - is complaining of feeling USED. (I do feel bad for him, but that's rich!)

I am definately torn here, between being sad for Hermione, and sympathetic towards Severus. Good stuff! I wasn't expecting that, so it was quite a nice surprise!

ch 32-33 - great chapters!! I loved this line of Hermione's: "She (Lily) could have had you, but didn’t want you. I wanted you but couldn't have you." You've got a solid grip on the characters' mindsets and feelings. Thanks for updating, Ruth!

Aw, I felt sorry for Edgar until he decided to pocket Hermione’s Arithmancy report. Not nice. Think maybe he’ll relent and give it back? Well she made Snape listen, now I know there’ll be MAJOR lemons so he can give her ’pay back’ for tying him up. LOL. Looks like we’re in for a f*#k fest ladies. : )) Have to admit my feeling on Snapes death in DH run pretty much along the same lines at yours. Either JK was emotionally killing off her own past (Mean teacher she admitted he was based on) or she wanted to cause major upset for the fanfic writers. My bets a bit of both. That was really quieting. It's like the calm before the storm, or in your case, probably the calm before the lemons, lol. This chapter really made me just sit back for a few minutes and think. Thanks for a few peaceful moments.

Dear Ruth, I for one feel that you have touched on the real tragedy of DH. JKR created, but did not recognize the depth of, her tragic hero. Severus is really the more complex of any of her other characters. It seems to me that Hermione has more depth than being a breeder for the Weasly clan. Harry and Ron are really quite shallow when compared with HG/SS. Love you Figgy.

Rachaelzi: lol. I happen to like demons as well as vampires, especially updated versions. :)) I had to think what you meant at first, I was like, did I make a demon go after Hermione before? Then I remembered Severus lost his soul to two very yucky little double-donged demons and Hermione had to enlist another one's aid (Finder) in order to get it back. Also the first time I used Eros, the god of Male Love in a story. Ah, memories. :)))
