ch 37 - squeeee!!!! It's so nice and realistic that they're taking time, not just hopping straight to bed. I wonder when Severus will realize that she's a bit awed and afraid of his size, but surely she remembers that she gave birth to two babies who were a lot bigger than his tool. I can't wait to see what her kids ask her about Severus, now that everyone knows he's alive! Thanks for updating, Ruth.
Ch. 36 - Oh man. This brought tears to my eyes and down my cheeks. What a wonderful thing he did in his speech here.

ch 38 - Bartleby is just doing his job by giving legal advice, but the personal advice was off. Maybe if they were friends and not just solicitor-client. Poor Rod, just getting Sorted and really accepted into Slytherin and then getting pressured by the girls. And what if Rose already has a date? No contact from Harry or Severus to Rod yet, or from Hermione and the Weasleys? At the least, the Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes shop should send Rod a gift certificate for saving Ron!

I've realised I have been quite lax in my reviews for this story...so sorry! I am really enjoying this so far. I especially like how Severus is turning out in this one. He is very canon IMHO. It appears he may actually be a bit "nicer" in this story...or at least he is being very Slytherin (in that he is being nice just for the purpose of trying lure her in ;-) In any case I think he has mellowed out a bit over the years and it shows. I like to see him snarky but capable of being nice. You do this very well. Also, I am enjoying the story line starting between Rod and Rose. Looking forward to the next chapter.
I think this is the longest you've gone without them having at least one sex scene yet. Not that that's bad, just unique I think. Keep up the good work.

Such a wonderful chapter! Dear Ruth, I'm reading and loving your stories since when you appeared in the SS/HG fandom. All the stories show the richness of your fantasy, the characters and situations move forward with such an ease like a beautiful Mercedes on a perfect German "autobahn" (highway). I hadn't even finished reading DH, due to my elder, 14-year-old daughter who just monopolised it for a week, and ANB was already on the way. Amazing, just amazing... How do you do it? Of course a professional writer (I'm also a fan of A Matter of Choice btw. and would love to read other originals from you) just has to have a constant need to write, but still, you are a very gifted storyteller. In this fic your characters are so much more mature that it's a real delight to follow their lives. A very original approach. Thank you, dear, for bringing so much joy to your faithful readers.

As far as a "professional" writer goes ... eh ...I'm not quite sure about that designation, published or not, but I am driven to write. I STILL have to finish Sahara. :::grumbles to self::: But I do have an active fantasy life concerning HG/SS and have to get it out of my head and see it come to life. That it is enjoyed by others is a big, big plus. This has to be the most romance-based story I've ever written I think, and having Severus as a man capable and willing to love is a journey I'm enjoying very much, though I worry a bit about my readers who like lemons and hot engagements, hoping their patience isn't wearing thin. The way this story is set up, I can't bring the heat yet and the level of heat or should I say the expression of it is probably going to be very different then what they are used to from me. I'm just hoping I guess, that when the two do become "one" I can do it justice and keep it in the same vein as the rest of the story. This Snape isn't SexGod!Snape though he is certainly capable of being that particular incarnation. He is more of a man who has never made love to a woman he's actually cared about. To this point, all his engagements have been physical or carnal. How will he react to Hermione? And Hermione has never made love to anyone but Ron, and isn't a masochist (or at least not that we know of) and has a lot of misgivings about intimacy with the wizard. It's going to be a challenge to write to be sure. But then again, that's kind of what has me so excited about it. lol. How will it be handled? Even I don't know at this point, but ya'll will be with me when it comes to fruition. Anyway, thank you again for being so supportive, Agnessa. Thanks to all of you. ***

Really like this one so far...glad that they don't end up together all at once & that it's gradual...wonder if Hermione is going to ask someone about sex with Snape or if she'll just wait I see for herself how it would be & if she has anything to worry about...she must have heard something from someone at some point about it & remembers that she's had 2 kids so it's not like her body can't handle it...wonder what the kids will say when they find out & if he will fess up to messing with then with the wards?...hope you update again soon.

Actually, it is a word according to the Urban Dictionary aka "the words of black folks." My Americaisms (sure that's not a word either lol) are showing again.. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Conversating&defid=1169243 The second definition is the one I use.
Chapter 42: Awww...some romance. Definitely an improvement on Date #1. Maybe Severus will get the hang of this courtship thing after all! The sensual kissing is a major boost to his cause!!!! :-) Hey, I think maybe Rose didn't "knut" Hugo out...though, honestly, in a world without telephones and the attendant use of a coin to report someone, it all gets pretty muddy...maybe she didn't "ash" or "powder" him out...as in a floo call.
