I like this ending. It really sounds like something Snape would do. I know asking you to expand it is probably out of the question, but it would be nice to see what happened to bring them together. Did he just bump Ron out of the way or was it insidious? I'm thinking the latter, that he stole Hermione in increments. But only you know Miss Figg. Share!
yes, I second that request for a fill in the blanks between HERE....Harry Potter did indeed kill Voldemort that night, and Hermione Granger never did marry Ronald Weasley. AND HERE...She did however have two dark-haired, dark-eyed children named Rose and Hugo Snape. As usual...you have a great idea...fitting he should use McNair to make a horcrux and Hermione be the keeper of his soul fragment!
Ok . . . in a nutshell. After Snape is restored he returns to teaching Potions and Slughorn takes the DADA teaching position. When Hermione graduates, both he and Professor Flitwick offer her apprenticeships. Hermione was leaning toward Charms, but professor Snape was known for NOT offering apprenticeships or accepting apprentices, while professor Flitwick had 3 others. Hermione knows she should take advantage of the offer and much to Ron's horror she does. This requires her to live at Hogwarts in very close proximity to the Potions master. Snape immediately puts Hermione to work doing things that suck up almost all her time, which causes terrible arguments between her and Ron, since he can't see her the way he wants. Then Ron accuses her of having something going on with Professor Snape and that's it. They break up. Then Snape does cleanup. The End. lol.
